Founded fifteen years ago in Paris, Maison Alexandre.J was born of the temperament of a passionate man who tolerates no half measures.

A designer above all, Alexandre.J has devoted close to thirty years of his life to the world of perfume. For him, olfactory and sculptural creation is a continuous impulse, a fire impossible to extinguish: creating is not a profession, it is a vital necessity. Guided by his love of light and a deeply personal vision of luxury, he conceives works made to shine, to assert themselves and to astonish.

His driving force has never been financial success, but a far greater ambition: to think on a grand scale and to leave an indelible mark on time. Fragrance and bottle become the vehicles of that creative memory, the link between the present moment and eternity.

Throughout his career, what defines him is the blending of styles. Alexandre.J excels in the art of drawing on the sophistication of past eras and setting it against the modernity of today, startling the senses with elegance the better to leave his mark on his time.

Through his research, his aesthetic has anchored itself naturally in Art Nouveau. Far from any nostalgia, he sees in it a striking parallel with our own era: just as the artists of the early twentieth century reinvented their crafts in the face of the revolutions of their time, the House today asserts a cutting-edge, avant-garde vision in which history becomes the springboard for an absolute modernity.

For fifteen years, the House has drawn on a range of rare crafts to give form to its ideas, without ever conceding anything to ease: pâte de verre, art leather, enamel, ceramic, chased metals. Alexandre.J seeks out exceptional artisans and noble materials across the world.

**Sculpted Glass & Hand Painting**The bottles are sculpted, hand-worked or painted by artisans, giving every piece a character of its own.

**Finishes & Visual Effects**Plays of texture, metallisation and relief capture the light and create an experience that is theatrical to both eye and hand.

**The Artisan’s Gesture**Craftsmanship lies as much in the hand assembly of the cases and the meticulous packaging of the fragrances as in the overall artistic direction (set design, floral arrangements and visual development).
